Success Stories
Farias Soccer Academy
I was 13 years old when I joined FSA. I had just been cut from the provincial team and had lost a lot of confidence. I was losing my love for soccer because I thought I wasn’t good enough to play at a high level.
That all changed when I started training at FSA. The coaches were so supportive and enthusiastic, while instilling confidence and a professional attitude in the players.
Being placed in this setting at that critical time in my early soccer career was the best thing that could have happened to me.
My level of play improved quickly because of the style of training and the positive environment of FSA. My love for soccer returned and even grew.
The coaches made me feel like I was capable of playing at a high level and helped me work towards my goal of playing university soccer. They pushed me hard, but also knew when to pull me aside and talk me through my mistakes. The team of coaches at FSA truly care about each individual player and their success. The way they coach is different from club soccer, and being exposed to this environment is incredibly beneficial.
The professionalism that is instilled in players from a young age is essential for playing high level soccer, such as university or professional level. I am now in my third year of playing NCAA division 1 soccer at Alabama State University on a full scholarship.
Needless to say, I would not have gotten this opportunity if I had not trained at FSA. Not only did they help me with my soccer, but their guidance and advice helped me with the tedious and extremely lengthy process of setting up a recruiting website, finding compatible schools, and contacting coaches. There were definitely days that I questioned myself and if all my effort was worth it, but they always kept me on track. FSA is more than just a soccer academy; it played a big role in shaping me as a person and taught me valuable life lessons and skills.
