Farias Soccer Academy
My FSA story begins at the age of 12 years old. Growing up through the club system, it completely ruined my confidence as a player. Every single year I was cut from the top teams and this slowly started to ruin the thing I truly have a passion for.
The first day I walked into FSA the staff was so welcoming and friendly. The first thing I noticed was how professional the players looked wearing all the same uniforms and standing up tall with proper posture.
I had such low confidence that I actually told one of the coaches (Tyler Simmons) that out of all the kids training I was the worst player there. Every single time I came to train before I was allowed to step on the turf I would have to go up to him and say that I was the best player there. At first I thought it was silly but slowly it helped me build confidence and I actually started to believe that I could be one of the best players there.
Since then FSA has truly changed my attitude by not just giving me confidence on the pitch but off of it as well. My level of play grew rapidly due to the coaches pushing me to my limits and motivating me to be the absolute best player I could be. FSA doesn’t just focus on improving your skill, technique, and knowledge for the game! They improve who you are and prepare you for the road ahead.
Growing up training at the facility 4-5 times a week you really get to see how much the coaches truly care for you and want the absolute best for you in life. I have now played two season for a semi-professional soccer team Med City FC (which is based in Rochester, MN) and trying to pursue an even higher level of soccer. Over the years FSA has brought me from such a low point to a point in my life were I can keep climbing and attempt to reach my dreams. Thanks to all the amazing coaching staff I have already surpassed where I thought I would ever be in my soccer career. FSA is my family and I owe all my success to them and the burning passion I have for the beautiful game.
